If you've ever stumbled on how to obtain detailed (and credible) bibliographic information, that path should now be cleared. While Google Scholar is a great online service that can help you both track down and read scholarly books, there's a new kid on the block. The curiously named RedLightGreen project is an incredibly powerful and useful alternative.
RedLightGreen is an easy-to-use search service designed to help you find and access library books. The service was developed by RLG, a library organization based in California, and the search database is what librarians call a "union catalog," which contains bibliographic information for more than 120 million books. Click here to use this nifty new Internet gopher.
